Some of the Schools we are working with this month

Clyde Fenton Primary School is leading the way this week with its teams of 'Carbon Cops' assessing the school's energy use. Not only have the kids been getting excited but the teachers have too and by the end of May the school should be well on its way to becoming carbon neutral.

"We're really aiming to make as much difference as possible, and measuring what we do right now is the best first step" said Kelly Smith (pictured left), one of Clyde Fenton's Carbon Cops.

Tennant Creek Primary School has been kicking a lot of goals recently. Over 14 students have become Carbon Cops and are actively hunting out ways for the school to be smart about its energy use. Josh Reed, a lead student, has created a number of ways of organising the team to complete their energy assessment tasks as quickly as possible.

The team is set to be the first school in the Northern Territory to go carbon neutral.

"We are really proud of the things the school's planet savers have achieved so far, and we are getting lots of other schools wanting to come and see our projects", said the school principal.
